From March 24 to April 6, Kanazawa University operated a limited-term childcare program for the children of faculty and staff members.
This initiative follows the trial summer vacation childcare program implemented in August 2025, which was launched in response to the results of the “Survey on Childcare Facilities and Services at Kanazawa University” conducted by the Institute for Promotion of Diversity and Inclusion for employees with children up to elementary school age.??
Many children, including new first graders, participated. In addition to indoor and outdoor free play, they enjoyed a variety of special programs such as an experiment to examine bacteria on their hands, a hands-on fossil exploration activity, and a workshop where they made clay magnets.
