Kanazawa University Holds Award Ceremony for the 8th Japan Mathematics A-lympiad

On March 25, the award ceremony for the Kanazawa University Contest (*) – 8th Japan Mathematics A-lympiad was held at a hotel in Kanazawa City.

At the ceremony, President Takashi Wada presented certificates and plaques to the teams from Saitama Municipal Omiya International Secondary School and Katoh Gakuen Gyoshu High School, which received the Grand Prize and Excellence Award, respectively, in recognition of their outstanding achievements.

Following the ceremony, a discussion session was held, during which the award-winning students presented the processes and ideas that led their teams to the solutions, as well as the experiences they gained through the contest.

In addition, Omiya International Secondary School, the Grand Prize winner, participated in the Mathematics A-day International Competition held in the Netherlands, supported by Daicel Corporation’s Overseas Challenge Support Program for High School Students.
