On March 19, a research presentation and networking event was held in Tokyo by the Kanazawa University recipients of the “Next Generation” Support Donation Program, with a total of 41 participants joining both on-site and online.

?The program was launched by  Daiichi Sankyo Co., Ltd., with the aim of promoting the development of basic research, which serves as the source of innovation that drives social and economic transformation, and to support the next generation of researchers who will advance Japan’s basic research and expand their activities globally. Kanazawa University’s proposal to utilize the program to support interdisciplinary fusion research and individual research based on the free ideas of young researchers was selected in FY2023.?

The event began with opening remarks by Trustee/Vice President Shinichi Nakamura. This was followed by presentations from four young researchers who received support through the program, each introducing their innovative research achievements in the fields of medicine, health sciences, and Transdisciplinary Science.

During the question-and-answer session and networking session, participants actively exchanged opinions. The achievements of the young researchers were widely shared, contributing to the formation of new networks.
