On December 18, Frontier Science and Social Co-creation Initiative held a tasting of new products from the "Rice Flour Product Development Project," a collaborative project with the Hokuriku Agricultural Administration Bureau and Seven-Eleven Japan, as part of Project: AERU. Kanazawa University was attended by six students.

This collaborative project, with the cooperation of the Hokuriku Agricultural Administration Bureau and Seven-Eleven Japan, aims to foster entrepreneurship among students and revitalize local industry through the use of local specialty products by practicing product planning and publicity activities under the theme of "product development using rice flour". The program also aims to revitalize local industries through the use of local specialties.

On the day of the event, representatives from Seven-Eleven Japan and food manufacturers explained improvements that could be made to the products proposed by the students, followed by a tasting of the prototypes. The students expressed a variety of opinions about the taste and texture of the products, and a lively exchange of ideas ensued.

The participating students will continue to work on improving and publicizing the new product with a view to marketing it in March 2026.
