"Tech Startup HOKURIKU" (hereinafter referred to as TeSH), jointly led by Kanazawa University and the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, and involving 11 universities and 3 colleges of technology across the Hokuriku region, has been newly selected for the "Program for Creating Startups from Advanced Research: University Ecosystem Promotion Type – Support for the Formation of Startup Ecosystems" by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).

This initiative aims to systematize entrepreneurship education into eight distinct phases, ranging from "high school–university transition” to “startup preparation." It also promotes the archiving and sharing of programs within the platform, encouraging the development of original programs by leveraging the excellent educational resources of each participating institution. Furthermore, facilities such as Kanazawa University’s Social Co-Creation Hub (Mirai-Chi Demonstration Center) and JAIST’s newly established "J-Innopla 3" will be utilized to enhance environments where students and researchers can engage in prototype development and business creation.

In the future, the Hokuriku region aims to be nationally recognized as a leading hub for entrepreneurship education, continuously producing entrepreneurial talent. The initiative also seeks to build a startup ecosystem in which core members of university- and college-based startups and growth-oriented companies emerge one after another.
