On October 21, Frontier Science and Social Co-creation Initiative conducted a "Tour of Ishikawa Music Hall" as part of Project: AERU. 13 students from Kanazawa University participated in the tour.

On the day of the tour, under the guidance of Mr. Hiroharu Okubo from the Ishikawa Music and Culture Promotion Foundation, participants first received an explanation in the Japanese Music Hall about the stage equipment and the hall’s features. They also had the opportunity to experience the mechanisms behind the scene—such as the raising and lowering of the stage lift—that are usually not visible to the public. Next, in the Concert Hall, participants observed the first rehearsal of the Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa and experienced the dynamic, immersive world of live music.

Participating students shared comments such as, “It was a valuable experience to see up close the behind-the-scenes mechanisms that we normally don’t get to see,” and “It was fascinating to see how Ishikawa’s traditional crafts were incorporated into the details of the building.”
