Starting October 1, 2025, Kanazawa University will launch a donation campaign through the “Kanazawa Hometown Tax-Based University Donation Program” (hereinafter referred to as “the Program”) in collaboration with Kanazawa City.
This Program was established by Kanazawa City to promote the creation and expansion of community ties and to foster individuals who contribute to cultural development. It provides support to universities and other institutions within the city that have signed partnership agreements with the municipality.
For Kanazawa University, this marks the first initiative to solicit donations through the hometown tax system. By utilizing this system, the University aims to offer more people the opportunity to support its activities.
Kanazawa University will utilize the Program to support various initiatives, including enhancing scholarship programs for students facing sudden financial difficulties, promoting international exchange and multicultural coexistence, and improving the educational and research environment for students. Through these efforts, Kanazawa University aims to create an environment where students can study with peace of mind and work together with the local community to shape the future. At the same time, it seeks to further enhance Kanazawa City's appeal as an “academic capital” and contribute to the overall development of the region.
We sincerely appreciate your generous support.
