On May 26, a group of students from the University of Nevada, Reno, USA, visited Kanazawa University.

The University of Nevada, Reno is one of the partner institutions of Kanazawa University and has a long history of mutual exchange of students since the conclusion of a memorandum of understanding in 2009. This time, 12 students and 2 faculty members visited Kanazawa University as part of a study tour to Japan organized by the University of Nevada, Reno. The group first toured the lecture halls, research facilities, and international student housing on the Kakuma campus, and then had an exchange program with students from KISSA, an international exchange circle at Kanazawa University, introducing each other's universities.

In the afternoon, the group visited the "Cultures of English-speaking Countries 1E" class, organized by Professor Yoshinari Yamaguchi from the Faculty of International Studies, Institute of Human and Social Sciences, and participated in a discussion with the students on the theme of the class, "Friendship in Literature". Although the time was limited to one day, the students from both schools deepened their mutual understanding.
