On May 3, students of the Volunteer Support Station, an extracurricular activity group of  Kanazawa University, together with members of the Shinkanda District Youth Association, held a street fundraising event at Kanazawa Station East Exit to support the recovery from the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake and the 2024 Oku-Noto Heavy Rain Disaster. The donations received from many people were donated to Wajima City Juzo Shrine, which is working on the front lines of recovery and reconstruction in Wajima City.
