On March 7, KEYPAT*, a support team from Kanazawa University that aims to provide mental care in times of disaster and other emergencies, visited Ishikawa Prefectural Wajima High School and participated in a presentation of the results of the "Urban Development Project (Machi-Pro)" an exploratory class that second-year students had been working on for a year.

This project was carried out during "comprehensive inquiry time," which focuses on students identifying issues and taking an independent approach to activities. The results presentation was held at the request of Wajima High School, who invited representative teams from high schools in the Oku-Noto region to share the details of the project and provide a space for students to interact with each other.

At this year's presentation, we were able to see the culmination of the second-year students' work, which KEYPAT has been following since July of last year, and were interviewed by the first-year team about their disaster relief activities at Kanazawa University.

On stage, 13 presentations were given on themes such as "Wajima High School's Fireworks Revival Project," "Monzen High School's Lion Dance to Revitalize Monzen," "Iida High School's How to Cheer Up the Everyone in Noto with Music?" and "Noto High School's Noto Health Investment Project." In the afternoon poster session, the participants were free to wander and view the 29 posters, and KEYPAT members also asked questions and offered advices.

KEYPAT will continue to support the Noto area school community with its knowledge of school health and experience in student counseling.
