On February 18, Kanazawa University and Japan Mutual Aid Association of Public School Teachers signed the agreement to promote the well-being of public school teachers and faculty members in order to work together on establishing the system for dealing with mental health issues.
The signing ceremony, held in Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, was attended by President Takashi Wada, Trustee Yasushi Takinami and Director of General Affairs Department Osami Kurosawa from Kanazawa University, and President Yoji Maruyama, Trustee Satoshi Nara and Director of General Affairs Department Atsushi Tanigawa from Japan Mutual Aid Association of Public School Teachers.
With this agreement, Kanazawa University and Japan Mutual Aid Association of Public School Teachers will work together to consider and implement effective educational research and medical initiatives to promote the physical and mental health of teaching staff.
