In collaboration with the Kanazawa University Education New Platform general incorporated association, Kanazawa University Affiliated School is building a new learning community for junior and high school students in Ishikawa Prefecture as part of the Kanazawa City-commissioned project 2024 "Entrepreneurship Program for Junior and High School Students Aimed at Discovering and Nurturing Future Entrepreneurs at an Early Stage."
As part of this project, a Tokyo company tour took place on January 25, with two junior school students and 13 high school students selected from prefectural schools. In the morning, they visited Pestalozzi Technology Corporation, located in Waseda University, and listened to a discussion between Mr. Tomotsuna Inoue, President of the company, and Mr. Hiroki Yamano, Manager of Social X, Inc. Many students deeply empathized with the discussion on skills and mindsets required in society. In the afternoon, the students visited the headquarters of SoftBank Corp. and received a welcome speech from Mr. Yukiyoshi Yamano, former mayor of Kanazawa City and current general manager of the company's corporate headquarters Advisor and Kanazawa University Visiting Professor. After that, the students were introduced to the company's business and participants gave "one-minute pitches," in which they talked about their goals and received advice from the commentators. Finally, the students listened to a lecture by student entrepreneur Reika Koike and learned the importance of taking action.
The affiliated school plans to continue to implement highly innovative projects to contribute to society through Future-oriented Intelligence, without staying within the conventional framework.
