Hokuriku Future Co-creation Forum: Joint information exchange meeting between the Local Human Resource Development Subcommittee and the Human Resource Inflow/Regional Settlement Subcommittee "How to Find New Human Resources - Considering the Human Resources Ecosystem"

On January 30, the Hokuriku Future Co-Creation Forum held a joint event with the Local Human Resource Development Subcommittee and the Human Resource Inflow/Regional Settlement Subcommittee. 127 people attended the event (81people participated online).

This event focused on recruitment and human resource development, which are major issues that must be solved when considering the sustainable development of companies. During the event the examples of "new" human resource securing efforts being made by universities and local governments in the Hokuriku region, such as internships, recurrent education, the recruitment of international students, and the promotion of highly specialized human resources were introduced.

First, Trustee Shinichi Nakamura gave a speech on behalf of the organizers, followed by presentations by each working group.

From the Local Human Resource Development Subcommittee's Strategic Local Internship Working Group, Junji Ito from the NPO ETIC spoke about some unique internship examples from recent years. From the Working Group on Supporting Career and Skill Development of Local Human Resources, Katsuya Shibuya from the Design Institute of Regional Creation Co., Ltd. introduced a career and skill development program they implemented in collaboration with Kanazawa University.

Next, Professor Takao Inokuma from the Faculty of Electrical, Information and Communication Engineering, Institute of Science and Engineering, representing the Working Group on Utilizing and Retaining International Students and Foreign Human Resources, gave a presentation on the "Link KAGAYAKI" project, which promotes career development and local settlement for international students. Then Ms. Maho Morita from Giken Co., Ltd. gave a presentation on cases of accepting international students.

Next, as part of the efforts of the Working Group on Utilizing and Retaining U-turn Human Resources, Professor Kiyokazu Sato from the Institute of Human and Social Sciences, Faculty of Economics and Managementintorduced the "Co-creation Enterprise and Human Resource Development Program". Professor Toshio Kishimoto from Toyama University introduced "Toyama Re-Design Lab". Professor Sugiyama Tomoki from Fukui Prefectural University introduced "Fukui Corporate Value Co-Creation Lab". Professor Yoshimi Kawamoto from Fukui University introduced the "Future Collaboration Platform Fukui." In addition, Atsushi Takeuchi, a graduate of the Toyama Re-Design Lab, and Atsushi Kudo, a graduate of the Co-Creation Enterprise and Human Resource Development Program, shared their experiences.

At the venue, each working group displayed a panel and opinions were exchanged with the participants about their initiatives. Finally, Trustee Kaname Miura, head of the Human Resource Inflow and Regional Settlement Subcommittee, gave a closing speech, and the event ended with great success.
