On January 22nd, Komatsu City and Kanazawa University Collaboration Promotion Meeting took place in Komatsu City. This meeting has been held continuously since Komatsu City and Kanazawa University signed a comprehensive collaboration agreement in January 2012.
After opening remarks from Deputy Mayor of Komatsu, Yukihiro Koshida, and Kanazawa University's Trustee, Kaname Miura, Komatsu City reported on collaborative efforts to create sustainable communities in Satoyama. Kanazawa University's Trustee, Shinichi Nakamura, introduced the outline and efforts of Experimental Research Center for Envisioning the Future, and stated that Kanazawa University would like to promote innovation in collaboration with Komatsu City and local companies. This was followed by an exchange of opinions on 29 collaborative projects in a wide range of fields, including industry, nature, education, welfare, and culture.
Kanazawa University will continue to contribute to solving local and social issues through our collaboration with Komatsu City.
