On December 7th, as part of the Noto Satoyama Satoumi SDGs Meister Program, the "Noto Satoyama Satoumi Conference 2024" took place at La Porte Suzu (Suzu City), with About 100 participants, including program students, graduates, local residents, Kanazawa University students, and researchers working in Satoyama Satoumi participated in the event.

First, Trustee Masako Yamagishi (in charge of diversity management) gave an opening address, followed by an interim report on the activities of the Meister Program 2024 Art Seminar. After that, the participants watched a video recording of the Art Seminar and deepened their understanding of the importance of inheriting the disaster and the potential of art. Finally, Trustee Kaname Miura (in charge of regional co-creation) gave a closing speech. The meeting ended with a great success!

In the afternoon, researchers working in Satoyama and Satoumi and local high school students shared their hopes and wishes for the future of Noto in a talk session. At the same venue, a market event and hands-on workshops by participants and graduates of the program were held. At the market event all participants could purchase Noto's food and ingredients, make fragrances using Noto's herbs, make shimekodori ornaments using Makomos (straw mats), and make accessories using salt crystals. Everyone could fully enjoyed the charms of Noto!
