On December 3rd, Health Service Center held its annual Christmas event, the nutrition education program "Let's Decorate and Eat Christmas Cake". This time, it was co-hosted with KEYPAT (※), and the purpose was to provide mental care to students, faculty, and staff who were feeling stressed and anxious due to the disaster that occurred in Noto. 17 students, including 7 international students, and 2 faculty and staff participated in the event.

Under the guidance of dietitian Masako Takanobu, the participants prepared ingredients that were considerate of allergies and various religions, and tried their hand at making their own original Christmas cakes by decorating a 12 cm diameter whole cake with whipped cream. After that participants took the cakes home and enjoyed tasting cakes and drinks prepared by the student crew.

Participants commented: "I was moved by everyone's great ideas", "We all worked together and had a lot of fun talking to new friends while making the cakes", "It was a lovely experience. I would like to participate again", and "It was fun. I wish I had more opportunity to talk to other people. It was a fun opportunity to interact with others.

(KEYPAT" is an abbreviation of the Kanazawa Educational Yell Psychological Assistance Team.
