On November 29, the 1st Future-oriented Intelligence Fusion Symposium "Protecting Data Privacy with Future-oriented Intelligence" was held at the Kakuma Campus in a hybrid format. About 80 people from inside and outside of the university attended the Symposium.
This symposium was held for the first time jointly by Institute of Human and Social Sciences, Institute of Science and Engineering, and Institute of Medical, Pharmaceutical and Health Sciences with the aim of sharing the challenges faced by humanities and science physicians and exploring solutions by Future-oriented Intelligence, regardless of the framework of academic disciplines. This symposium is also positioned as the kick-off of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology`s "Double Major Graduate Education Construction Project for Digital and Multiplying", that Kanazawa Univerity Graduate School of Human and Socio-Environmental Studies is working on.
The event began with an opening address by Trustee Morimoto, followed by presentations by Statistical Training Researcher Naoki Makita from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications; Associate Professor Katsuhiko Nagase from the Advanced Medical Development Center of University Hospital; Professor Masahiro Mambo from Institute of Science and Engineering, Faculty of Electrical, Information and Communication Engineering;Professor Nobuaki Hoshino from Institute of Human and Social Sciences, Faculty of Economics and Management. After Trustee Nakamura's closing remarks, a coffee break was held, during which participants actively exchanged opinions. It was a meaningful time that deepened the interaction between researchers from various fields and deepened their understanding of data privacy.
