On November 18, Frontier Science and Social Co-creation Initiative Human Resource Development Unit invited Mr. Naofumi Yamada, Director and Executive Officer of Monex Group and mystery writer, to give a lecture "Entrepreneur x Mystery Writer: How to build a career in the age of AI" & ZATSUDAN NO CHIKARA at the Kakuma Campus of Kanazawa University. About 90 students, faculty and staff attended the lecture.
In the lecture on the rapidly evolving AI technology and its impact, Mr. Yamada said: "The changes in 2020s are very quickly, and there is the potential to change fundamentally the way people live and work". After the lecture, Mr. Yamada was invited as a guest speaker to ZATSUDAN NO CHIKARA (*) that was held for Kanazawa University students.
Participants commented: "Mr. Yamada is a man of many talents. He was able to clearly explain the thoughts he has had throughout his life and what he thinks the future holds. The lecture helped me to think about how should I live my life in the future" and "It broadened the scope of my own way of thinking".
ZATSUDAN NO CHIKARA" is an exchange program that creates a place for casual chats between students, faculty, and staff of Kanazawa University and people in the community. Kanazawa University hope that freely discussion with each other without being restricted by occupation, industry, or position, will help students to develop their careers and generate ideas for faculty, staff, and participating companies.
