On November 9, students from Kanazawa University Volunteer Support Station and their advisor, Lecturer Kaisei Harada from Faculty of Economics and Management, Institute of Human and Social Sciences, joined four employees of Kanazawa Energy Co., Ltd. in a joint disaster volunteer activity in Noto Town. On the day, the volunteers were divided into two areas, Ogi and Matsunami, and worked on removing damaged household goods, transporting them to a disaster relief dump, and cleaning up the inside of the house.
On November 16, four members from Kanazawa University Administrative Staff and others joined us to remove mud from Fugeshi-machi, Wajima City, clean the precincts of Juzo Shrine in Wajima City, and distribute relief supplies. At Juzo Shrine, we transported lumber from the demolition of the shrine, swept the shrine grounds, organized a warehouse of relief supplies, and distributed food, water, towelettes, and other relief supplies.
