On October 20, students from Kanazawa University Volunteer Support Station and their advisor, Lecturer Kaisei Harada from Faculty of Economics and Management, Institute of Human and Social Sciences,, together with the Ishikawa Prefecture Disaster Relief Volunteer Association, held a recovery market in Kanazawa City. The products sold at the market were mainly ceramics and dry goods, all of which were donated by people who had stalls at the morning market in Wajima. In addition, they handmade misanga with people living in temporary housing in Wajima, and sold them with messages of gratitude from those affected by the disaster.
At the Kanazawa University Festival held on November 2 and 3, they held the "Recovery Kanazawa University festival Market". They sold about 10 kinds of products such as food, beverages, and lacquer ware from Suzu City, Noto Town, and Wajima City. In addition, they sold T-shirts, wooden tags, stickers, etc. on behalf of Juzo Shrine in Wajima City, which was damaged by the disaster, and also made a donation to the shrine.
The proceeds from Juzo Shrine 's sales and donations will be donated to the shrine, and other proceeds will be used to support future reconstruction efforts through the Ishikawa Disaster Volunteer Association.
