On September 22, students from Kanazawa University extracurricular activity group - Volunteer Support Station, leadered by Kaisei Harada, a lecturer from Institute of Human and Social Sciences, Faculty of Economics and Management, participated in an opinion exchange meeting on operation of evacuation centerts with Tagami Town Disaster Prevention Organization.

Using the card game "&us", developed by Volunteer Support Station and based on the concept of turning "unforeseen things" that happen when running an evacuation center into "expected things", participants exchanged opinions on such matters as the rules for handing out food and drink to disaster victims who visit evacuation centers immediately after the disaster, how much to hand out, how to respond when special consideration is given to people requesting admission to the shelter, and how to respond when receiving requests for interviews.

On the day of the event, a person who was engaged in the operation of the evacuation center at Tagami Elementary School at the time of the Noto Peninsula Earthquake in 2024 also participated, and we were able to hear about actual problems that occurred at the evacuation center and what preparations should be made for the future.
