On September 29, a public lecture entitled "Bura Aoki Kanazawa Edition Returns - Why is Kanazawa City Here?" was held in the center of Kanazawa City.

First, Associate Professor Tatsuto Aoki from Institute of Human and Social Sciences, Faculty of Regional Development Studies explained the geographical features and historical origins of Kanazawa city while walking around Kanazawa Castle, stating that Kanazawa Castle was "a castle that made good use of the cliffs created by the river and fault lines to fortify its defenses".

Next, the participants walked through the historic streets of Hashiba-cho, Kazue-machi, and Musashi-machi to confirm that these towns were castle towns based on the topography of the area. They also walked along the active fault lines that run through the towns, examining what kind of structures are located on the fault lines and thinking about "disaster preparedness". The participants listened intently to the explanations under the clear autumn sky and deepened their understanding of Kanazawa's topography and disaster prevention.

Participants commented: "Now I see the Kanazawa urban area in a completely different light" and "I have a renewed awareness of natural disasters".
