On September 6, a public lecture "3D Art Pen Class" was held at Kakumachi Plaza with five participants in their teens to seventies.
First, the lecturer, Mr. Shinichi Hayashi, an industry-academia-government-regional advisor for Frontier Science and Social Co-creation Initiative, explained the mechanism of the 3D pen and the properties of the resin used as a material. Then he introduced the method of creating three-dimensional objects by assembling and transforming flat parts, and mentioned that an unlimited number of works could be created depending on the ideas of the participants.
Under the instructor's guidance, the students were free to choose their own subjects, complete their own unique works, and enjoy the process of seeing their ideas take shape.
Students commented: "It was so much fun that I lost track of time," and "It was easy to understand with the video and the verbal and handouts explanations". This event provided an opportunity to experience the fun and accomplishment of making things.
