Kanazawa University took a part in?"Kick-off Symposium for the Project to Strengthen Regional Core and Distinctive Research (J-PEAKS) " conducted by Japan Society for the Promotion of Science

On July 5, a hybrid symposium entitled "Kick-off Symposium for the Project to Strengthen Regional Core and Distinctive Research" was held by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) at the Marunouchi Building Hall in Tokyo.

First, Mr. Tsuyoshi Sugino, Director of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, and Mr. Masahito Moriyama, Minister of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, gave opening remarks. Yhen Mr. Koetsu Yamazaki, Chairperson of the Project Promotion Committee, gave a speech. After that, 12 universities introduced their plans of activities.

From Kanazawa University, President Takashi Wada introduced the development of measures for the following 10 years that combine two directions and four actions to realize the vision of "a global hub that continues to create discontinuous innovation".

Through this symposium, we disseminate information on J-PEAKS initiatives at Kanazawa University, promote collaboration and exchange among universities, and further accelerate our efforts to realize our vision for the next 10 years.
