On May 11, Kanazawa University Volunteer Support Station, led by Associate Professor Kaisei Harada of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Human and Social Sciences Departmentwith associate professor Atsushi Kawasumi from the Faculty of Transdisciplinary Sciences set up a large tent to serve as a base for student volunteer activities at Juzo Shrine in Wajima City.?.
The tent was donated by the Japanese Consumers' Co-operative Union and the Japan Committee for UNICEF, and will be used as a base for providing reconstruction support to the surrounding area.
Kanazawa University is going to use the tent effectively and accelerate volunteer support for the disaster-stricken areas.
