On April 17, about 90 third-grade students from Affiliated Elementary School, 7 third-grade students from Affiliated Junior Secondary School, 30 members of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Kanazawa Garrison, and several members of the Heiwamachi Odori Shopping Street Promotion Association picked tulips.
This tulip was planted along the road of the Ground Self-Defense Force Kanazawa Garrison in November last year with the cooperation of three organizations: Kanazawa University Affiliated School, the Ground Self-Defense Force Kanazawa Garrison, and the Heiwamachi Odori Shopping Street Promotion Association as part of the local environmental beautification activities.
After the picking, the children presented bouquets of flowers to the SDF and local residents as a token of their gratitude, and the SDF members presented bouquets of flowers to the children who worked hard to pick them. It was a time of harmony from beginning to end.
