On April 25, a delegation from the Estonian University of Entrepreneurship and Applied Sciences (EUAS) paid a courtesy visit to President Wada. Estonia is a country with a high global reputation in startups, and Kanazawa University concluded a university-level international exchange agreement with EUAS in February 2020. At the courtesy call, the two universities confirmed their intention to further expand and promote their mutual interactions.
Before and after the courtesy call, an exchange of views on student interactions took place with Assistant to the President, Professor Hidehiko Adachi of the Graduate School of Humanities and Sociology, and Associate Professor Duggan Sagano of the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Research. There was also a meeting with Professor Daisuke Matsushima of the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Research regarding future collaborations.
On the same day, approximately 40 students and faculty members participated in a seminar led by Rector Mait Rungi where they deepened their understanding of Estonia¨s follow-up system for startups and its structure for a smart city. During the Q&A session, many students and faculty members actively expressed their opinions, and the seminar closed as a great success.
