The 7th Symposium of Hokushinetsu Block of the Consortium of Core Universities for Strengthening Mathematics, Data Science and AI Education "Deepening MDASH Education through Hokuriku Tourism DX

Kanazawa University Center for Mathematics, Data science and AI Smart Higher Education will hold the 7th symposium "Deepening MDASH* Education through Hokuriku Tourism DX" in the Hokushinetsu Block of the Consortium of Core Universities for Strengthening Mathematics, Data Science, and AI Education.

This symposium will introduce the efforts of the "Development and Dissemination of Innovation Creation through Data-driven Tourism Science Education in Arts and Sciences" project, which has been led by Kanazawa University College of Transdisciplinary Sciences for Innovation School of Tourism Sciences and Design and Frontier Institute of Tourism Sciences. This project is now in its fourth year, and this year marks the milestone of producing graduates from School of Tourism Sciences and Design for the first time. In addition to reviewing the education and research efforts to date, we will share examples of practical examples of Tourism DX in the "Hokuriku Forum for Future Co-Creation" promoted through collaboration among industry, academia, and government in the Hokuriku region, and explore new possibilities for tourism science.

Through this symposium, we will widely disseminate the development of innovation through the fusion of data science and tourism science, and deepen our knowledge to co-create the future with local communities.

This forum will be conducted in a hybrid format with both in-person and online participation.
