The Institute for the Study of Ancient Civilizations and Cultural Resources at Kanazawa University is an organization dedicated to pioneering and implementing a new interdisciplinary approach to the study of ancient civilizations and cultural resources, which goes beyond the conventional humanities and social science-based archaeology. The institute actively conducts a wide range of research projects exploring humanity’s past, not only within the Japanese archipelago but also across various regions of the world, spanning both old and new continents.
To provide you with the latest information on these activities, we will hold our annual public forum again this summer. Come and experience the forefront of cutting-edge research that Kanazawa University is undertaking to integrate archaeology, archaeological science, and cultural resources studies.
