Event Details
As part of the JSPS KAKENHI project (JP22K02784) entitled "Development of a preparation support program for university adaptation for students with developmental disabilities" (Principal Investigator: Assistant Professor Hamada Riu from Institute of Liberal Arts and Science Faculty of Global Standard Education), we held a seminar to help students to prepare for university entrance.
The number of students with developmental disabilities enrolled in universities is rising. Meanwhile, reports from both Japan and overseas have pointed out the difficulty students with developmental disabilities or those with developmental disabilities in adaption to university life. By making preparations early before entering university, students can expect a smoother transition to university life.
This seminar is intended for parents of high school students, who are thinking of going to university, for faculty and staff, and support organizations. Based on the results of research and the experience of university faculty members, we will introduce the characteristics of the university environment and what students should learn, including the characteristics of each university.
