Title: "The change in awareness required for utilizing 3D printers at manufacturing sites"
Abstract: It has been over 10 years since additive manufacturing (AM) technology began to be used in the manufacturing industry, but its popularity has not progressed in Japan, and the level of technology is lagging behind that of Europe and the United States. This is largely due to the industrial structure of Japan, but in this presentation, we will provide an overview of recent AM technology, including examples of 3D printer use, and share with you some hints to raise awareness of AM in manufacturing sites.

?14:10~15:10 Lecturer: Makoto Niikawa
Associate Professor of Gifu University, National University Corporation, Tokai National Higher Education and Research System
Deputy Director of Institute for Advanced Research, Regional Collaboration Smart Mold Technology Research Center
?

Title: "Application of Metal Additive Manufacturing Technology for Improvement of Die Casting Process"
Abstract: In recent years, large-scale die casting technology has been attracting attention in the field of die casting, and it is considered to be an important material manufacturing technology in the future.
In this presentation, we will introduce examples of industry-academia collaboration using metal additive manufacturing technology with the aim of improving the process of die casting.

15:15-15:30 Break

?Special Lecture
15:30-16:30 Lecturer: Mr. Maiku Hayashi
Senior Staff of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, AM System Design Section, Laser System Department, Industrial Mechatronics Works

Title: "Cutting-Edge Processing Technology and Application Examples Focusing on Wire-Laser DED Method Metal AM
Abstract: The AZ600 wire laser metal 3D printer is a DED-type metal 3D printer (AM) that uses a laser as a heat source and welding wire as a supply material.
This presentation will introduce the features of AZ600 and its application examples such as 3D laminated modeling, welding substitution, and overlay repair.

16:35-16:55 Introduction of Research: Professor Tatsuaki Furumoto from Kanazawa University Advanced Manufacturing Technology Institute
